This June, Vilamoura played host to the unforgettable Chefs on Fire pop-up, where fire, flavour and music came together in a three-day celebration of slow cooking and soulful performances.
The festival opened with a spectacular showcase of open-fire cooking by top-tier chefs José Lopes, Marin Colomès, Paulo Carvalho and Márcio Baltazar, all set against a glowing Algarve sunset. Guests were treated to a four-course tasting menu featuring meat, fish, vegetarian and dessert options. As the flames flickered, Capitão Fausto delivered an electrifying live concert that set the tone for the weekend ahead.
On day two, the pace picked up as chefs Noélia Jerónimo, Pedro Pinto, João Narigueta and Diogo Lopes took over the fire pits, each one crafting inventive dishes that pushed flavour boundaries. Best Youth took to the stage with an upbeat performance that brought even more energy to an already buzzing crowd of food lovers, locals and visitors alike.
The final day of the event was marked by showstopping plates from Louis Anjos, João Oliveira, Lívia Orofino and Rita Santos. Gisela João’s soulful set brought the weekend to a powerful and heartfelt close.
Over three nights, Chefs on Fire brought together thousands of guests, uniting them around open flames, good music and great company. In its Vilamoura edition, the event proved just how powerful the simple combination of food, fire and community can be.
