Vilamoura Marina was constructed in 1974, and was something of a pioneer in Portugal. Over the last four decades the Marina has been recognised as one of the best in the world by its customers. With 825 berths the Marina can accommodate boats ranging from 6 to 60 metres. The Marina's adjoining beaches have been granted the ‘Blue Flag’ along with ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications.
A visit to Cerro da Vila Museum and Archaeological Site is a 5000-year journey through the history of humankind. The route through the ruins provides an immersive experience of a typical Roman maritime villa (c. 1st – 5th AD).
